Today is Earth Day. In our book, it’s Earth Day everyday, but it’s great that Earth Day helps to concentrate the focus on our amazing world, the environmental issues it faces and how our everyday actions impact our beautiful blue planet.

This blog post is dedicated to everyone who goes out of their way to make positive changes to help our environment – whether through litter picking, lobbying the powers that be to make positive changes for our Earth, making sustainable choices that aren’t always the easy or convenient option, inspiring others to look after our environment or wildlife and everything in between!

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

– Jane Goodall

The Story of Stuff has created a fantastic short animated film that shows just how interlinked the production (and disposal) of plastic is with the oil and gas industry and our climate. It’s a great watch and really accessible to all ages.

From all the team at the Final Straw Foundation, Happy Earth Day to you all, and let’s all be the change we want to see!
