It’s been such a busy six months for us here at the Final Straw Solent. Beach cleans, schools outreach, beach cleans, meeting with councils and key local stakeholders – you can read a summary of it all in the document below.

    Find a list of upcoming events and beach cleans by the Final Straw Foundation for 2024 here! We try to run at least one public beach clean per month, and manage attendance of these events using ticketsource or other sign-up websites so that we have an idea of numbers. Thanks!

    The Ghost of Christmas Waste

    The festive season can generate lots of waste, but the Final Straw Foundation offers some tips to help curb this. Primarily, try more sustainable packaging for online orders and use recyclable wrapping paper. Donating unwanted gifts instead of trashing them, as well as being mindful of Christmas food waste, can make a difference.
