Look at these beauts! We recently linked up with the Hayling Island Lions Club to install two brand new #2minutebeachclean boards. They are awesome, fantastic quality boards that encourage people visiting the area to borrow a litter picker from the board, take a bag and do a quick beach clean while they are out walking.

From the 2minutebeachclean website: ‘We are a growing family of beach lovers rolling up our sleeves to help rid the world’s beaches of marine litter and plastic pollution, two minutes at a time. We believe that every piece of litter removed from the beach matters. So it doesn’t matter if you do 2 minutes or 30. Each and every piece of marine plastic removed from the beach is a piece that will no longer go on to kill.’

These two initial boards have been installed today at the Ferryboat Inn on Hayling Island, and the Lifeboat Station also on Hayling Island. If you are down there visiting, check them out and make sure you take a pic and tag #2minutebeachclean!

Primarily, try more sustainable packaging for online orders and use recyclable wrapping paper. Donating unwanted gifts instead of trashing them, as well as being mindful of Christmas food waste, can make a difference. Also, reducing plastic waste at Christmas is crucial, with options such as kerbside recycling, and plastic-free alternatives for gifts and food. Visit the full blog post to find out more!
